My recent visit, however, was during their enchanting Christmas holiday pop-up bar—a truly magical transformation of the space. It felt as though one had stepped into the heart of a Hallmark film, with the décor exuding an air of timeless sophistication interspersed with delightful whimsy. The decorations were not only aesthetically pleasing but also possessed a unique charm that set the tone for a memorable evening.

This is one of my favorite cocktail spots in town. The locally distilled rum is *chefs kiss*. The Christmas pop up is so absolutely festive, it made my grinch heart grow two sizes. Something to check out - the wait to get in was worth it. Megan made me some amazing cocktails and was so cheery the whole time I was there. The staff and owners are wonderful people.

We had an amazing time here. The place is impeccably decorated and feels like you stepped foot into a Hallmark Christmas movie. We sat at the bar and everyone working was extremely attentive and worked seamlessly together. We had Victoria as our bartender and she was funny and so kind. Worth the wait in line to get in!

Where can I park at True Standard Distilling?
True Standard Distilling has two convenient parking garages nearby: the Carroll Creek Parking Garage and the Church Street Parking Garage in Downtown Frederick. Street parking is also available throughout Downtown Frederick, including along Carroll Street, Church Street, and Patrick Street.

How do I get VIP treatment?
We have 50 Gold Cards available each year. You can become a Gold Card member and get VIP treatment. Cut the line, have a table reserved, first dibs on new rum released, bottling engraving and cocktail & bottle discounts.

Are your spaces wheelchair accessible?
Absolutely! Our tasting room, bar, and restrooms are all wheelchair accessible. We want every guest to feel welcome and comfortable. If there’s anything you need during your visit, please let one of our team members know — we’re happy to help!
Can I bring my pet?
As much as we love our four-legged friends, health department regulations do not allow pets inside the tasting room. Service animals are always welcome.
Can I reserve a table for a large group?
We do not take table reservations, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our team will always do our best to help your group find a space when you arrive. We want everyone to have a comfortable, festive, and enjoyable experience, and we can’t wait to welcome you!
Is Christmas on Carroll kid-friendly?
Christmas on Carroll is a 21+ experience. However, we will be hosting a special event on November 19th that welcomes younger guests and families!
What ID do you accept?
We accept valid forms of identification; however, we do not accept vertical IDs. Please make sure to bring an accepted, valid ID if you plan to enjoy alcoholic beverages during your visit.
Do you serve food or snacks?
We don’t serve food ourselves, but outside food is always welcome! Many of our guests bring light bites, snacks, or even order from one of our neighboring Downtown Frederick restaurants to enjoy alongside their drinks.
